Central Chicago neighborhoods
We regularly serve clients in River North, Gold Coast, Streeterville, Loop, West Loop, South Loop, Old Town, Lincoln Park, Lakeview, Wicker Park, Bucktown and surrounding areas.
For most addresses within roughly 10 miles of downtown Chicago, travel is included in the $450 fee.
North Shore & outer suburbs
Some clients prefer an in-home visit in suburbs such as Wilmette, Winnetka, Glenview, Lake Forest and other North Shore or Chicagoland communities.
For locations beyond our core radius, an additional travel fee may apply depending on distance and timing. For anything more than 10–15 miles from central Chicago, we recommend contacting us first to confirm availability and cost.

- Products (hair systems, toupees, toppers or wigs) are not included
Rescheduling & cancellation
This VIP visit requires travel and reserved time, so we keep the policy simple:
- The $450 fee is non-refundable.
- If you need to change the time, we ask for at least 24 hours’ notice so we can adjust the schedule.

FAQ – In-Home Hair System & Wig Consultation
No. The fee is for the in-home visit itself – our time, travel and professional expertise. Any hair system, toupee, topper or wig you choose afterward will be quoted separately.
Some clients explore reimbursement for cranial prosthesis or medical wig expenses, but coverage varies by plan. We do not bill insurance directly and cannot guarantee coverage. It is best to check with your insurer or HSA/FSA provider.
Many clients book their in-home consultation in Chicago or the North Shore 1–2 weeks in advance. If you have a specific chemo start date, surgery or important event, earlier is always better.
A clean, well-lit area with a chair and a mirror nearby is ideal. If you already own wigs, toppers or hair systems (even if you dislike them), having them available helps us understand what has and hasn’t worked for you.
Our in-studio consultations at Kaelyss are free for clients who prefer to come to us in River North. The in-home service is a paid VIP option for clients who want us to come to them in Chicago or the North Shore and receive the same level of expertise in their own environment.
